Quote Intelligence

The quote you're pricing looked fine.
The three before it told a different story.

They quote once and leave. No comparison, no cross-check, just a single declaration flowing into your pricing model. Of the 40 who quote again, a significant number change the fields that drive their premium. Some are shopping. Some aren't. Without quote-stream intelligence, you can't tell the difference.

Quote Intelligence sees every quote across every aggregator, 25 million unique quotes per month across motor, home, van, bike, and travel. Not one quote at a time. All of them.

The Problem You Can't See

Your pricing model receives a quote. Male, 35, 3 years' NCD, 5,000 miles, postcode SW1A. Perfectly normal.

What you don't see: that same person quoted yesterday as female, 28, 5 years' NCD, 3,000 miles, with a different postcode. And the day before that, with no NCD at all.

Your enrichment provider validates each quote independently. Each one looks fine in isolation. But across the market, the pattern is unmistakable, and it's flowing straight into your loss ratio.

Traditional data providers see policies and claims, what happened after you made a decision. They can't see what was declared at quote time, because they don't see the quotes.

We do.

What Quote Intelligence Shows You

For every person who quotes with you, we show their full quote history across the UK market:

  • How many times they've quoted in the last 30 days
  • Which fields they changed between quotes (NCD, occupation, mileage, voluntary excess, address)
  • Whether those changes are consistent with legitimate shopping or manipulation patterns
  • Their quote history across all lines of business
  • Where they sit on our manipulation grading scale

We generate 400+ behavioural attributes per quote, each one a signal your current data stack doesn't have.

In standard mode, QI covers same-line quotes within a 30-day rolling window. With Symphony, coverage extends to 6+ years across all lines of business.

Built on the UK's largest quote dataset

Quote Intelligence is powered by the Percayso Quote Lake, a continuously growing dataset of every quote submitted across the major UK aggregator platforms. This isn't sampled data. It's the full stream.

What We Capture

Every quote event across all major UK aggregators including Compare the Market, Confused.com, MoneySuperMarket, Go.Compare, and others.

For each quote, we capture the full record: every declared field, every insurer price returned, cover selections, and outcome (converted, abandoned, re-quoted).

Lines of business: Motor, Home, Van, Motorbike, Travel, with cross-line visibility so household insurers can see car data for key-theft correlation, and motor insurers can see home data for address validation.

How We Match

Raw quote events are matched to individual identities using our iterative search algorithm. This isn't simple name-and-address matching. It's an exhaustive process that loops through addresses, vehicles, driving licences, emails, and phone numbers until no new connections are found.

The result: a clean, continuous quote history per person that survives address changes, name variations, and device switching.

We match across all subjects including proposer, additional drivers, and named policyholders. Previous systems searched proposers only. The expanded matching significantly increases quote discovery and reveals connections that single-query lookups miss.

The patterns hiding in your quote stream

Quote Intelligence doesn't just count quotes. It classifies behaviour, separating legitimate shopping from systematic manipulation using 400+ behavioural attributes.

The Price Manipulator

Repeatedly changes price-driving fields including NCD years, occupation, annual mileage and voluntary excess, while keeping identity fields stable.

They're not confused. They're testing your pricing model to find the cheapest combination that gets them a policy.

Your enrichment validates each quote independently. Each one passes. But across the market, the pattern is systematic.

QI sees it. Your current data doesn't.

The Identity Manipulator

Changes identity fields including driving licence number, date of birth and email address, across multiple quotes.

This isn't someone correcting a typo. It's someone creating multiple identities to circumvent previous quote history, declined policies, or higher premiums.

Without cross-market visibility, each identity looks new. With QI, the connected history is visible.

We grade manipulation by severity, based on the number of quotes, timing, number of fields changed, and magnitude of change. Red flags aren't binary. They're contextual.

Across same-aggregator quotes within a 30-day window, 75.6% show at least one field change. The majority are legitimate shopping behaviour. The minority that aren't are what Quote Intelligence is designed to find, and that distinction is what makes the difference to your loss ratio.

Intelligence delivered at the speed of a quote

Quote Intelligence doesn't just produce reports. It enriches your pricing in real time, within the quote latency window.

  1. 1 A new quote hits your rating engine
  2. 2 The Intelligence Hub performs a real-time QI lookup
  3. 3 The customer's full quote history is retrieved and matched
  4. 4 Market rate distribution for their risk profile is calculated
  5. 5 Price sensitivity and shopping frequency indicators are returned
  6. 6 400+ behavioural attributes are delivered to your pricing model
  7. 7 Your rules (via Inform Manager) execute: manipulation flags, conversion propensity scores, pricing adjustments
  8. 8 Enriched attributes returned to your system, all within the quote journey

Your pricing team gets the signals. Your IT team doesn't need to build anything. The Intelligence Hub handles the integration, and Inform Manager lets your team change the rules without a release cycle.

"We're delighted to integrate Percayso into our data ecosystem as their quote intelligence platform adds a further tool to our arsenal in combating the increasingly concerning issue of quote manipulation. With private car premiums rising last year on average by over 50% at a time when consumers are facing a real cost of living crisis, the motor insurance market is expected to experience another challenging year. It is vitally important that we maximise the wealth of data available to us to write better business and better support our broker partners."

How Quote Intelligence works for your business

Quote Intelligence maps the shopping behaviour of the insurance market. For any individual on your Single Customer View, it reveals whether that person has been requesting quotes, across which lines, through which channels, and over what time period.

For Insurers

The market context missing from your internal data. A customer who shopped for motor insurance three times in the last 60 days, and received a competitive quote, is a different renewal risk than one who hasn't shopped at all.

Quote activity signals churn risk in a way that claims and payment history alone cannot. It also reveals manipulation at the point where you can still act, before you bind.

Solutions for Insurers

For Brokers

Segment your book by engagement and shopping frequency. High-activity clients represent immediate retention risk. Low-activity clients may be candidates for proactive cross-sell.

The intelligence sits at person level, making it actionable across your CRM without complex aggregation. You know who's about to leave before they call.

Solutions for Brokers

For MGAs

An independent view of market competitiveness that doesn't rely on aggregator relationships. Match rates against your portfolio to deliver actionable signals at scheme level, informing both pricing strategy and capacity provider discussions.

See where your scheme is winning, where it's losing, and whether the risks you're attracting are the ones you want.

Solutions for MGAs

For Comparison Sites

Understand the full shopping arc of your users across channels you don't own. Did a user who visited your platform also request quotes via a competitor or direct insurer? In what sequence?

This informs both UX design and commercial strategy, and gives you intelligence to share with your insurer panel partners.
